Matt is a cancer survivor, and is participating in honor of his grandmother and grandfather who were taken by cancer when he was very young. He is also honoring his good friend Steve Coughlin and many other friends that have succumbed to cancer over the years. His goal is to referee at least 100 hours of the event and raise $10,000 for cancer research at Roswell Park.
